Our Event Mission:

  • What? Matching event for members of the Hub

  • Why? An informal and friendly environment

  • What happens? We host matching events. These events bring clinicians from Moorfield's Eye Hospital and researchers from UCL Institute of Ophthalmology together to foster new collaborations in vision research.

The events also host speakers who have knowledge of successful interdisciplinary collaborations.

We have 'speed' networking sessions where attendees can mix and collaborate in a friendly and informal way increasing the chance of partnerships for the future.

These events help to overcome the barriers of working in physically separate institutions and bring people together face-to-face.

“The Cross-Innovation Hub is an opportunity for us to work together... It's a way in which we can ask questions, whether it's about a scientific problem or some element of pragmatics about ethics or accessing data.”
